# First steps

> Set up your first service, patient and questionnaire in LiveClin — from registration to sending and reviewing the first response.

## Prerequisites

Before you start, you need:

* An active LiveClin account.
* Access to WhatsApp — preferably WhatsApp Web on your computer, to forward the number confirmation request.

## Step by step

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create your first service">
    Go to **Settings → Services** and click **Add**.

    Fill in the service details:

    * **Name** — for example, "Monthly follow-up".
    * **Duration** — for example, 30 days.
    * **Price** — for example, R\$ 250.
    * **Mode** — in person or online.

    You've just created the service you'll link to your patients.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Register your first patient">
    Go to **Patients**, click **Add** and choose **Register and activate**.

    Enter the **name** and **WhatsApp number** and click **Continue**. Select the service created in the previous step, set the **date** and **payment amount** and click **Save**.

    <Tip>Register yourself as a patient to test the flow end to end, as if you were a real patient.</Tip>

    Your first patient is registered.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the patient's WhatsApp number">
    Right after registration, a red exclamation mark appears next to the name and, in the patient profile, the notice "WhatsApp validation pending". Due to the privacy and data security policy, the patient must confirm the number is theirs and that they agree to receive messages.

    In the patient profile, click **Send request**. WhatsApp Web opens with the message ready — forward it to the patient (or to yourself, when testing). On opening the link, the person talks to the LiveClin virtual assistant and chooses **Yes, I allow it**.

    Refresh the page: the notice disappears and the **country flag** appears next to the name. The number is confirmed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create your first questionnaire">
    Go to **Settings → Questionnaires**.

    Since you don't have any yet, click **Import** to use a questionnaire from the **library**. Add a **cover image** and click **Save**.

    Your first questionnaire is ready to send.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the questionnaire to the patient">
    Click **Schedule** and **Link new patients**. Select the patient and click **Continue**.

    Choose **Single send** and **Send immediately**. Set a **response deadline** — for example, 24 hours — and confirm to link and send.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Answer the questionnaire as a patient (test)">
    The message with the questionnaire arrives on the patient's WhatsApp. Tap **Answer questionnaire** to open the response screen, answer the questions and **submit**.

    Since you registered yourself as a patient, make this submission to see the full flow.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the response in LiveClin">
    Go back to LiveClin and refresh the page. The **Pending** side tab shows a counter with the new response.

    Open the response to see the patient's data. Use **Expand report** to view everything as a list, one question below the other. Finally, click **Mark as reviewed** — the response leaves the pending list.

    Done: you created a service, patient and questionnaire, sent it and reviewed the first response. Your first follow-up flow is complete.
  </Step>
</Steps>
